Bangladesh Victory Day to be held in London; Abdullah Mahmud
CEO of NextStage Events Abdullah Mahmud said, “This is my small event to showcase the joy of celebrating the country’s Victory Day sitting about 7,997 km away among the expatriate Bengalis and to showcase a new Bangladesh to the world.”
The 54th Victory Festival of the Ever-Young Bangladesh, organized by NextStage Events, is going to be celebrated with a colorful event titled “Love Bangladesh”. The festival will be held on December 16th at the prestigious May Fair venue in London.
The main objective of this event is to strengthen the bond between Bangladeshis living in the UK and to showcase the rich culture of Bangladesh locally and globally. The festival will run from 4 pm to 10 pm and will feature dance and songs by local artists, documentary screenings on Bangladesh, live performances by the popular Bangladeshi band “Chirkut” and the thoughts of the youth of Bangladesh. Nahid Islam, Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the current interim government, Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hasnat Abdullah, Coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Movement, Barrister Fuad Ahmed, Member Secretary of National Nagarik Committee Akhter Hossen, Member Secretary of Boisammya Birodhi Student Movement Sohel Arif and Central Member of Boisammya Birodhi Student Movement Tarequl Islam are all providing full support in organizing this Victory Day event.
In addition, a special campaign titled “Love Bangladesh” will be launched to inspire young people of different languages around the world.
